I grow fresh mint and before buying a premium Schefs teapot I would simply toss a few stems (with leaves) in boiling water along with tea bags to make iced tea. Now I can chop the mint which adds a lot more flavor to the tea and I don't have to try to fish all the leaves out of the pitcher. I like to make two pots of tea at a time and found I didn't have to cut individual clumps of mint as I get just as much flavor by reusing the mint from my first pot. The sweetness of the mint is more noticeable, so I don't have to use as much sugar to sweeten the tea! I look forward to trying new teas and this brewer easily has room for me to add tea and mint at the same time. Highly recommended!
