Review on ๐Ÿฅฅ Boka Coco Ginger Toothpaste: Remineralize and Relieve Sensitivity, Fluoride-Free | Dentist Recommended | Made in USA | 4oz by Gina Putnam

Boka: Please switch to calcium carbonate (from silica), then I will switch to Apagard.

I think it would make a good whitening toothpaste but that's because it's on the abrasive side. Contains both hydrated silicic acid and silicic acid in the ingredients. I think it's regular silica that seems hard. I appreciate the efforts of this company and that there is nothing toxic in the recipe. Hydroxyapatite is great and I wish I liked it more than Apagard but it's too aggressive for me even after my first use I can tell. I propose that the company switch to calcium carbonate. It seems much softer but still effective. Silicon dioxide makes my teeth crackle. Update: I hate giving things back so I've been using this toothpaste for a month or two anyway. While I still believe calcium carbonate should be substituted for silica, it initially caused sensitivities due to its abrasiveness. However, hydroxyapatite seems to have repaired areas of my teeth that were irritated and I hope it repairs any erosion caused by silica as well. The hydroxyapatite in this toothpaste is extremely effective. I'm still not changing my star rating because the abrasives need to be reduced, but I also want to highlight the good things about this product.
