Working but without XMP at 2400Mhz max

I bought a 16GB stick to pair with a Dell G5 that comes preloaded with an i5-10400F and only has one stick of RAM in it. The Timetec module installed as easily as any RAM and the system worked flawlessly. As expected, I've seen a significant FPS boost on some games, ranging from 10% to 30%+ based on it now running in dual channel. Shame on Dell and others for allowing high performance systems to ship with a single RAM DIMM. The only problem I have is that I can't get this Timetec module to run at full speed. The motherboard in the system is based on the H470 chipset and the RAM frequency is limited to 2666 MHz for the i5 (1333 x 2 for DDR). The Timetec module is recognized as a 2400MHz module (1200MHz x 2) capable of running at 2933 (1467) and 3200 (1600) with XMP and boost to 1.35V. For some reason there is no option for 1333 (2666MHz) mode ), which means the default frequency is 1200 (2400MHz). This somewhat upsets the DIMM included in the system as it can certainly handle 1333/2666 (it's a weird OEM module that apparently can even go up to 1600/3200 without XMP, although with that it gets 2666 anyway). processor/motherboard combination) Ultimately, this will not completely reduce my PC's performance (there's even a chance that in some cases the combination of lower speed and lower latency can improve performance). However, if I had known that it would not fit the 2666, I would have taken a different module. That RAM seems fine if you have a Z-series chipset and can use XMP or run Ryzen with AMP, although latency might be better if you're looking for maximum performance. I don't recommend it for use with chipsets whose top speed of 2666 is (obviously) not supported. Note: Timetec is listed as UNKNOWN in the attached screenshot from HWiNFO64. The OEM stick is Micron in the other screenshot. ***Update: To be honest, the product listing states that the default RAM speed will be 2400 with no XMP enabled, but it seems odd that it's either 2400 with no XMP or 2933.+s and nothing in between. Support contacted me right after my first check and they responded quickly when I asked for clarification. Added one star back.
