Yes, these sheets are thin. That's why I love her.

I have had these blades for over 2 years. I own a print shop and use my heat press every day for vinyl heat transfer, dye sublimation, transfers etc. I mainly use these sheets as a cover when layering vinyl. You need a protective layer between the colors so that the vinyl does not stick to the thermal plate. They're great for that. In fact, I think they work better than the thicker sheets I've tried before. Although Teflon sheets are thin, they absorb some heat. For many applications you need a fairly constant temperature, especially for dye sublimation. In use, these thin plates give the impression that they absorb only a minimal amount of heat. I have a lot of creases that might show up on the vinyl so I came back here to buy more. Not a single sheet, no matter how thick, will remain unstained if you use it frequently. They are consumables and should be treated as such. The surface of these panels is smooth. Pressing the Siser Easyweed down with a blade will make the vinyl shinier. When using Stahl's Fashion Film HTV, I don't notice the material becoming as shiny after pressing. It maintains a matte finish throughout. I recommend experimenting with different materials to get the look you want. Overall, I really like these Teflon sheets. In fact, I order more. For those who use a heat press frequently, I cannot recommend them enough. I tend to be busy throwing things around which probably shortened the life of my first set. But still 2 YEARS! Having a few of these things in store is no problem.
