I have read reviews from people who had problems with these replacement cartridges so I will explain how I successfully installed my cartridge in a Dell E310dw printer. The first step is to go to the "General" menu on the printer, select "Replace Toner" and click "Go". You can now remove the drum unit/toner unit. Open the door on the front of the printer and gently lift and pull out the device. Remove the old toner cartridge with the blue tab on the left. Insert a new cartridge and latch it. There is a blue slider on the back of the device - slide it to the other side and back. If you don't, you may end up with a blurry print. You can now replace the drum/toner unit. After replacing the unit and closing the door, the machine will check the new cartridge and after a while it will be ready to print. That's all. I have attached photos of the photoconductor/toner assembly with the toner cartridge removed and a new toner cartridge installed. Hope that helps.
