Bought these to replace glass carafes (which my husband kept dropping/breaking). Looked nice, filled them with juice, lemonade, iced tea. It just looked great in the fridge! Then I want milk in my coffee - so I reach for the milk carafe - I have to tilt it slightly to get it off the top shelf of the fridge - the milk starts leaking all over the place! From the looks of it, they ONLY won't leak through the lid/top when in the perfect upright position - right?! The flimsy flip-top on the lid is a joke, absolutely useless! I then poured the milk into another glass pitcher I had on hand and decided to wash out the plastic carafe (as I found that it does NOT work with ANY liquids - thought I might use it to store cat food). Definitely read the description before buying which says the decanters must be "HAND WASH ONLY" - well, I agree with that. I'm washing dishes in hot (not boiling) water - with my hands, so not even very hot - and the plastic is starting to warp and melt before my eyes! Serious?! What a terrible POS product.
