Review on 📷 Pentax OFC-1 16GB Flu Card with WiFi Connectivity for Pentax K3 DSLR Camera - White by Charles Lewis

I bought this for use in a Pentax 645z to try it out and offer extras at little cost or free on filming. I read other reviews that downgraded the transfer rate of the card as very slow, so before my wedding I installed the Flu card as a second card with a reduced JPG quality of 21 MP, remembering the reduced file size (compared to to the standard 51 MP). raw (80-100 megabytes) makes transfers a breeze. Didn't think of trying this as I didn't have to provide live images at the event. In the end I really couldn't fall back on a lower quality image out of concern if I lost data from the main card - the need for a backup is always present when shooting. After the ceremony and the obligatory reception shoots, I set up my second photographer with an iPad and assigned him to upload 12-15 good pictures and create a slideshow. I stayed pretty close as I didn't want to lose the iPad's Wi-Fi connection and that part worked well - I had freedom of movement and no connection issues in the same outdoor area. After about 15 minutes he came to me with a problem - it took several minutes to transfer each image and now we had almost no time to set it up so we had to abandon the idea. Back home I checked the settings and found the setting. A camera for 3 megapixel images and medium quality JPGs produced an image that looks good on a 10 inch iPad and transfers quickly too (images were under 1 megabyte). The problem with this setup is that I would hesitate to use it at a wedding. or an important event due to the fact that if my main card with RAW images was damaged, I would have practically no backup. SUMMARY: PROS - offer wireless connectivity MINUS - no value in price, size or features, very slow - consider dial-up. I'm still giving it three stars because I need that kind of ability and it really works.
