The vacuum cleaner was ready for immediate use. I plugged it straight into my car's cigarette lighter and was amazed by its suction power: it easily sucked up all the trash off the floor, including pennies and other denser items. The cord length is sufficient for comfortable access to the rear seats. I had to empty the chamber once in the middle of cleaning, but I would blame it on the high amount of dirt on my car's floor. I liked how I could just take out the trash can and go to the trash can without shutting down the entire device. The accessories are great: the crevice pipette was narrow enough to get into the crevices between the seats, and the extended hose allowed me to vacuum without leaning too far. The only downsides I found were the small trash can mentioned above and the lack of a wider nozzle to clean wider surfaces.
