First of all I would like to say that disassembling my gmc key fob took more than an hour and was not an easy task. Once I finally freed the components, placing them in this keychain case was quick and painless. I was able to use my original key without removing the pin and it was easy to upgrade to a new key fob. After I got the new key fob assembly it works but the buttons are very firm and sometimes pressing the unlock button also triggers the lock button so the car unlocks the driver's side and immediately locks all the doors. It's annoying, but if I press the unlock button very lightly, it doesn't happen. I hope it will soften over time. Also, this key fob has a Chevy logo on the back, so it could very well be that my GMC key fob has slight variations that cause the buttons to behave oddly, and it might work great for someone with a Chevy.
