I hung it on the side of my fridge to hold my oven mitts. I *thought* I had it in a good place, but when I tried to move it, it WAS NOT moved at all. It's for life I think. I'm pretty sure the compound is super glue given to people from a distant galaxy and used to hold entire planets together. Don't take it off at all. JE. I tried everything I could think of from moving a spatula, a wooden spoon, to pouring vinegar on it to move the hook. NO. It's for life. The fact that it rotates is good as you can move the hook to make it easier to put on and take off.
