Review on BOIFUN Portable Monitor Z1-8: 15.6" 1920X1080P, 60Hz, Flicker-Free, Anti-Glare, Blue Light Filter for Efficient Computing by Richard Hansen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Looked good, but there were problems.

I was thrilled to get this portable monitor. When I opened it up and set it up it seemed fine. He switched it on and of course said "no signal". I went to get a device to connect. When I came back the monitor was black and wouldn't turn on. I've been trying to turn it on all day but nothing worked. Eventually I took it to a new outlet, plugged it in and it turned on. Confused, I plugged my phone and charger into the original outlet. It loaded well. Then I plugged the portable monitor back into that outlet, plugged it in and now it worked 🤔. I used a USB-C cable to connect it to my Chromebook and it started up in enhanced mode, but when you unplug the power cord the monitor turns off. I thought power should come from Chromebook/USB-C? I used USB-C to connect two different Android phones (both bought this year). None of them worked. That's a bit disappointing, but it's not necessarily reflected on the monitor. The screen is bright and clear. Looks great. You can see in my photos. I'll come back and update this if I have any updates, good or bad. Hope that was helpful!
