Pretty annoying to see a low rating on an excellent product because someone didn't do their due diligence before buying it. No, there is no slot for optical drives and certainly no remote control. Check out the Phanteks website for that. What you get is a sleek mid-tower that won't look out of place on your desk, nicely tinted tempered glass (extra weight?), and good airflow with just two 120mm fans has . I really wanted the glass, PSU shroud, and a smaller size with bold lines; The lighting overdid it for me. It would have been nice to have a top mount cooler as an option, but I knew it was going to happen. Plan your build, you won't be disappointed with this case.
