So, after years of diligent use and use of protective films, I finally dropped my iPhone 8 screen and got a crack. I really didn't want to change this phone because it's a 256GB model, still works well and didn't want to pay for a new phone or sign up again. I'm mechanically inclined, but not a little electronics guy. So I definitely went with this screen as a replacement. Be VERY careful with this. The home button was the worst. The screws were a pain in $$ and so damn small! I lost one and still can't find it. The home button function does not work, but the fingerprint scanner does. The screen works and I was able to use the accessibility options on the home button to get it on the screen now. This will take some getting used to. But I spent $35, spent about an hour and a half on it. Yes, there was so much hassle with the home button. Better than a new phone for me. As said, in general the screen works, but please note that this is not a job for common people. I almost gave up.
