I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

Has some pros:
Lots of Lego for little money. Opens cargo hatch, engine panels. The rover with the manipulator is interesting.
Some cons:
Few opening elements. The rover is not attached to the shuttle.
