When I found this lamp it seemed to go with everything I needed for my table. As I have a somewhat cramped work space, I bought this lamp to hang on the wall above my desk to brighten the room. While I liked that it was USB powered and had multiple lighting options, I was disappointed with how long it actually lasted. Obviously, the light can get so hot that the magnet inside the lantern weakens and can fall off. When it happened to me, it fell off the metal disc and swung towards my computer on a cable, luckily without breaking anything. I couldn't get the magnet to stay in place as it came loose every time I held it to the wall. The first time I put the lantern back on the wall, he managed to pry the 3M hook out of my wall, taking some paint and some drywall with it. I strongly recommend everyone not to use it as an intense light source as the light will heat up and damage anything underneath as it falls off the magnet.
