I was looking for an outdoor rug that would protect me from wind and light snow/rain. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! It's not a thick, cozy blanket, but it does a great job of protecting you from the blowing wind that usually comes through another throw. While I didn't buy it for that reason, I found it great for ground mounting, as a wet grass barrier, or even as a buffer between cold or wet stands. Rolls up tightly for transport and storage. Also, unlike others I've tried, the waterproof base is very flexible, almost like thinner denim. And it stops the wind without being terribly loud.
