I really wanted to like these bags. they're large enough to hold a large stack of paper, a pair of shoes, or even a small chicken (for brining!) They're about 13" wide by 15" tall to the seal, so there is a lot of room in there. These could be used for a lot of different purposes. I travel quite a bit and am thinking that I could put liquids into these for checked luggage and prevent a sad story if any of those bottles leak.My only complaint about these is that they are not thick enough - 2.3 mil is just a bit thin - like the thickness of a normal sandwich bag. I'd like to be able to trust that these wouldn't tear if they rubbed up against something, and this thickness just doesn't give me that confidence.
