I received this bottle to hold water and remind me to drink water. He does it. I have read all the negative reviews and I want to tell you that this water bottle is great. It holds water, lots of water. It has a built-in straw for drinking water. He does both of those things amazing. I read bad reviews that the cap was too close to the face for some people. I really don't know what that means. My lips are close to my face and I use them to work the straw. The de facto water bottle and lid should be close to my lips, which are on my face. I don't know, maybe other people's lips work differently and that's why they were upset. It's a big old water bottle, so I don't carry it with me. I leave it on my desk where it reminds me to drink water. So basically this water bottle holds a lot of water and has a straw. If you like those two features, this could be a water bottle to help you stay hydrated. IF you have lip/face/proximity problems maybe not.
