The high efficiency of these loudspeakers facilitates operation. I use a 1W TDA2822M chip which gives them enough power. The grill is beautiful and easy to install, although removing the grill is quite difficult. In my ears, the sound quality is barely audible out of the box. The thin plastic case severely distorts the sound. Even watching YouTube was painful. Since mine was in the attic I was able to reuse some of the 1.5 cu ft MDF cabinets I had. Even then, they still didn't sound great until I added a 10-band EQ to tame the over-damped bass and resonance at 1kHz. I also used the EQ to compensate for the high-end rolloff. They sound decent with the new cabinets and EQ. Given the price, I'm happy with them. They still lack proper bass, but that's to be expected given their range and efficiency.
