Review on Versatile and Convenient: WORKSITE Cordless 3 Position Adjustable Auxiliary by Aaron Lewis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Powerful for a battery powered grinder, durable, comfortable touch, beautiful body

I really like this cordless angle grinder. It's not as powerful as the grinder you plug into the wall, but it has pretty decent RPM and torque. This will work for most jobs. It's built pretty solidly, has a nice weight and feels good. It has enough rubber grip to provide a secure grip while still remaining comfortable in your hands. The side handle has 3 attachment points to make it easier to hold the grinder when working in different positions. A decently sized battery will allow you to get a decent amount of work done on a single charge. Charging takes less than 2 hours. The battery has a battery indicator button and an indicator that allows you to check how much charge is left. I've never seen this type of connector, so I'm not sure if the battery is compatible with other manufacturers or if you can only buy replacement parts from Worksite. Unfortunately I was only able to find 2.0Ah spare/replacement batteries at Revain - they cost around $30. This angle grinder comes with 2 metal grinding wheels, 5 metal cutting wheels and 5 serrated lock washers. They also offer you a nice, padded carrying case for your coffee grinder. Everything fits in easily, the case is quite robust and offers a little protection for the contents thanks to a soft inner lining. All in all, this is a truly amazing "budget". "Battery powered variant of the angle grinder, it's comfortable to use, has plenty of power and feels solid. My only real complaint is that I'm not sure there's much "safety" built into this model. For example , You can lock the switch for continuous use, but there's no way to attach a lanyard or anything like that so the coffee grinder shuts off immediately if you drop it, and the switch doesn't unlock very smoothly, it takes a few seconds for the Motor "spikes" so I don't think it has a safety brake. I don't know if it has a mechanical slipper clutch to help with kickback. I give it 4 stars for value, performance and comfort, but I have Downed one star because I think it could probably make some improvements in terms of safety, but if you're looking for a basic, inexpensive angle grinder or something With no frills looking, should you do what does the job, I definitely recommend this model.

Pros
  • High speed 9000rpm motor provides more power for grinding metal, cutting tile and concrete.
Cons
  • Doubtful
