I had really high hopes for this after looking at the photos and reading the reviews. A little background: I have two large cats that like to stand up to pee and aim for the back of the litter box, so I needed one with high sides, a strong lid, and a solid back gasket. Well for the size it works. It's a good size and would fit me. But then I tried to put it together. The plastic is much thinner and weaker than I expected. For this size and price I would have expected better plastic. Both the top and bottom were slightly warped so they didn't fit together properly. It's like you put dishes in the dishwasher and now you can't put the lid on. The front part fell off, but the back part didn't fit. There isn't even a zipper at the back to ensure a snug fit and prevent leakage. The clasps were flimsy and flimsy in my opinion and opened easily, and some didn't even stay closed. I can almost excuse the warped parts as it could be a manufacturing defect. But even if everything fits, I would still send it back. With no back closure, you rely only on the fit of the top and bottom to keep the back hem tight. The flimsy plastic didn't last long and this one might break. The door panels would have come off anyway and the latches would have come off too. I give you credit for the design, but in my opinion you need two things to make this product better. Change manufacturers and use thicker and stronger plastic. The optics used are not suitable for a trash can, let alone a litter box. You want thicker plastic for more strength and a stronger build, especially the base. Second, you need at least a trailing hem buckle or something similar to provide a better seal. If the pieces are too fragile and don't fit properly, all sense is lost.
