Extra warm in my review
I bought this hat for a trip to Lapland (Finland) in December. Keeping your head warm is definitely a major part in staying warm in Arctic conditions. My head was really toasty in this, even while hiking in -5 degree Fahrenheit. I didn't use the face piece attachment because I was always wearing the Minus33 Merino Wool Midweight Neck Gaiter. These are perfect combination in freezing temperatures. I didn't have a problem with shedding like I read in some of the other reviews.
