Like other reviewers I had to screw in the tiniest screw holes to reduce the amount of feed. I have 4 comet goldfish and 3 ruby fish so they overfeed at level 8. I ended up using 1/4" window sealant to make it small enough. When setting the timer, the retaining pieces on either side of the unit broke. I put very little effort into fixing it, so the manufacturer should have dealt with the problem fix the tools. It took a while for the timer to get used to understanding as the direction is bad. The lid stayed closed as we had some windy rainy days while we were away - so that's a plus!. It works , but buyers beware, and you can be a mess with propellers depending on how many fish you're feeding.
