This is a great little heater for aquariums with fish, amphibians and turtles. This heater can be placed on the ground where it can serve as a direct heat source for turtles, allowing it to reach up to 96°F. Also ideal for pools with low water levels. However, it also works great as a heater for a standard aquarium, which is what I use it for. I mounted it vertically on the back panel so I can easily see when it's on and shows the set temperature. There are also suction cups for more secure positioning. It's relatively compact, accurate, and has safety features such as partial water shortage shutdown (e.g. during a water change), overheat protection, leak detection, etc. It has an LED display that shows the set temperature. The best part is that the adjustment is external, far from the device, and you don't need to get your hands wet to adjust it. For both fish and cherry shrimp, this was the perfect heater for me. I am very happy with its performance.
