This IR remote control extender works great for my TV. We used to have to hold the TV remote over our head (when sitting on the couch) to clear the soundbar, which was partially blocking the TV's IR sensor. I mounted the IR receiver just below the top of the TV stand and attached the IR emitter extender to the back of the soundbar in front of the TV's sensor. The TV had an unused USB port which now powers the IR extender just fine. Some other reviews find fault with the IR extender's visible red LED. I'm not getting distracted by the LED because we still have LEDs on some of our other TVs and I think I'm just getting used to it. These are simply 5 stars to get my remote working as usual again!
