Easy to use to place the IR in a closed case. If there's a downside, it's that the red light on the receiver is always on. You may have to use black insulating tape for this ;-)

I used to have an IR extender and it worked from 20ft but I accidentally broke it and can't find the same brand anywhere. Bought it works but you need to be about 4 feet away for the remote to work.

This product works well. It was easy to install, you just need to plug the USB into a power source. The transmitter and receiver ends don't really have a reliable way of holding them in place. I used clear tape to secure the ends in place. They are very light.

This product works very well but there is a permanently on LED in the receiver. I tried to take it apart to encase the LED inside and when I opened it I damaged the wire/solder. At such a cheap price I just bought another one and decided to live with LED but it sucks when watching movies in low light.

Repeater works as advertised. 5 stars for that. But they have a bright red power LED that's incredibly distracting. Too bright to put next to my TV, which is why I bought it. Therefore 2 stars deduction for it. You can open the receiver and snap the LED and it will still work fine. That's it.

I thought it wouldn't work or I used it wrong so I started looking at lower star ratings. What I found was correct. It doesn't receive a signal unless you're less than 4-5 feet from the receiver, which makes this thing utterly useless to me. I tried moving the cable box to have its own receiver between a tiny gap between the closet doors and it ended up working better than this unit.

This IR remote control extender works great for my TV. We used to have to hold the TV remote over our head (when sitting on the couch) to clear the soundbar, which was partially blocking the TV's IR sensor. I mounted the IR receiver just below the top of the TV stand and attached the IR emitter extender to the back of the soundbar in front of the TV's sensor.
