Meh it's not stainless steel
cheap. It feels like it's sold for 5.00 or less in cheap stores in the area. I was expecting a durable "stainless steel" item, but it's pewter. If I knew it was that cheap I would go downtown to CH Martin or Amazing Savings to get it at a price to match its workmanship. I've used it with a 32 ounce ceramic teapot and no problem. would i buy again? - no, but I won't be returning it as it really does the job.
