We have a 62lb Rhodesian mix puppy who was adopted by the Humane Society, he is now 11 months old. I bought this cage when he was 5 months old knowing he was going to be a big boy! Box 42 was perfect. We have a soft sleeping cage that our pup will not chew on. We bought this wire cage for when we go out as we can't trust it alone around the house yet. It has two opening sides that are also very well fastened. We can't use a pad or bag here because he chewed on 2 of them with attitude. Now we're going to use treats to make this wire cage fun for him. It worked: he can't wait to step in for his treat, opening and closing his mouth to indicate the treat when he sees we're about to leave! Then he gets locked up. We put the Music My Pet CD in the player on repeat and off we go. Then he's content to chew/eat his benebone or horn for sure until we get home. It can stretch and sit comfortably. .
