This ointment smells very pleasant. If you're not used to the smell of a rose, it's a bit unique, but you get used to it. The ointment smelled a bit chemically at first, I thought it might be petroleum jelly, but maybe it's just a mix of flavors being used. The feel is really great, love using it on my lips but make sure you moisturize as it's basically just a moisture barrier and doesn't really hydrate your skin.
