A thoughtful solution for hiking/camping coffee!

This system is fantastic. I was looking for something that wouldn't take up a lot of room in my backpack for hiking and the like. It was the PERFECT decision. I wanted a coffee brewing system separate from my stovetop system, which had "extra kits" available. I didn't want my dinners to taste like coffee. It turned out to be a perfect fit. When you drink coffee you need a cup and here is one. If you want to make and drink coffee, you need a coffee maker and a vacuum mug. it also checks this flag. And for hiking, it must be small (bulky) and light. CHECK OVER! The cup and French Press parts (handle and filter disc) of this system are ALL neatly packaged in a large French Press "cup". It's absolutely fantastic. I can confirm that the insulation works quite well. It doesn't have to be "just hiking". This is a great setup overall. Makes great coffee. Pretty easy to clean even when hiking with limited water. It was literally exactly what I was hoping to find on the market. My ONLY TWO recommendations for improvement would be to include the GSI Outdoor "Infinity Backpacker Mug" which has a measurement mark, a cool handle and a resealable lid. If this mug was in this set, it would literally be PERFECT. Not necessarily as most other measuring devices have, and I haven't missed a handle or a resealable lid much in my travels as the coffee in the cup hasn't been stored long enough to warrant it anyway. It was so delicious, I ate it all! As such, this is a GREAT system, especially for backpackers looking to shave weight and bulk while still getting an easy yet delicious cup of coffee on the trail. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Well done GSI!
