The recess covers the sensors.
"Fits Miller Standard and Electronic Fixed Darkening Lenses" I bought a Miller auto darkening lens, yes it will fit. However, the sensors were covered with a pancake cutout, preventing blackout. Why bother with something you say fits and works. I'd suggest getting ArcOne, but I'm not even sure it will work.
