The cable was connected to the TV for 9 months, never moved the TV or disconnected the HDMI cable. Then I had picture problems, so I bought a new TV. I then had to unplug that HDMI from my old TV and professionally hook it up to my new TV. When the TV was hung back on the wall, the HDMI cable detached from the end connector, leaving the brass inside the TV and the cable on the floor completely frayed. There was no cable stretching, cable pulling, or abuse in any way, shape, or form. The cable simply failed and fell apart after 9 months of use in the living area. As it turned out I didn't need a new TV, my Samsung's picture quality issue was entirely due to a faulty cable. And since I had already bought a new 65 inch Samsung 4K TV, it was a very costly lesson.
