This is a good controller but let me share a few things with you if you plan to use it with a 12v solar panel: 1) When you turn it on first on a bright day Plug your solar panel in and the peak voltage is about 20 or 21 volts. The "smart" side of this PLC will think you have it set to 24 volts. You can't get any output if you connected the 12V battery now. You can't drop the charging voltage down to 12 volts because it's in 24 volt mode. Restart PLC. .3) Now connect the 12V DC battery first. Now it is in 12V mode, now you can connect the solar panel and load. 3) You should now be able to set your high and low values for the 12v system.
