I can now take notes and draw in portrait mode with the Surface Pro in the same ergonomic orientation as the main stand. I don't like taking notes this way, it's too wide so takes up more space and can't see what I just wrote above. These things are amazing, they look great too. Almost doesn't swing (at least for notes). I expect this will work fine with iPads, generic tablets, etc. Likewise, I would not install them as shown in the picture, that would be unnecessarily stretchy. Works great for me as I installed it.
