Can't say it's bad. Everything is OK. Continuous white noise comes out of the speaker. The louder you turn it on, the worse the noise. However, if you turn it up loud enough, the dialogue becomes a bit clearer - which is what I wanted/needed in a speaker. High frequencies are too loud. The low end isn't bad, and I'm glad it's not too low. The average range is so-so. If you turn it on so that the dialogue is clearly audible, you get too much white noise, so it defeats the purpose. If you don't mind background noise, go for it. The price isn't bad, but it's not great either. I find most of these speakers overpriced. But if you have neighbors, these speakers are a good idea to be a good neighbor yourself. TVs come with rear-firing speakers, which is a really terrible design flaw. At least you don't have to listen to your TV anymore because it bounces off the wall.
