I have an old Legacy 1/2 HP Top Door Garage Door Opener Model 696CD/B (Model ACSR1O) and I'm having trouble finding working replacement remotes, since our original geniuses died I stumbled across them because they had the best overall ratings and seemed to cover quite a few brands. Needless to say they were exactly what we needed and we are pleased with the stylish design and quick set up. Initially I had some difficulty getting them to learn/connect as the instructions that came with the remotes didn't quite match what was required to get them working. (Probably just due to the age of our garage door opener) Credit to the original poster (LBaileyAR) who provided the instructions to make this work! FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS: 1. Remove the remote control battery cover. Press and hold the black programming button until the blue LED on the remote turns on and stays on. Choose which of the external remote control buttons you want to program to open your door. Press and release this button six times. Make sure the LED stops blinking between each press.3. Go back into the remote control and press the black program button once. The blue LED on the remote control should go out.4. Now approach the garage door opener. Press and release the LEARN button on the opener. The LED indicator (red on mine) should blink continuously.5. Press the selected button on the remote control three times. The third press should activate the garage door opener if the programming was successful. If that fails, repeat the above steps but in step 2 press the remote button only 5 times. --- A few quick notes: - Quality seems pretty good - Sleek design - Remote range is MUCH better than our previous remotes (very responsive) - Visor clips feel solid and hold up well - The price for two Remote controls is appropriate - Very happy with that They worked with old garage door openers
