
This cable uses much finer strands than usual. While the newer ANSI/TIA-568 standard (ANSI/TIA-568.2-D) recognizes 28 AWG patch cords, the older standards do not. There is no manufacturer identification or other technical information on the cable. It just says "Cat5E UTP PATCH CORD TIA/EIA 568B". Note that "TIA/EIA 568B" probably only refers to the pin order as I don't understand why this cable can't be compatible with the previous EIA 568-B.2 standard version.
