I confess that the design of the shark caught my attention. This pump replaced the Tetra Whisper 60 which suddenly lost an outlet after 3 months of use. Nice features: a flow control, an on/off button, an LED will flash when the unit is off, the feet are good at absorbing noise, and the bundle of goodies that came with it was a nice bonus. After about a month of use it started rattling and losing power. The seller didn't reply to my problem message so I opened it to see if I could find the problem. I couldn't get the top off all the way, but as I was looking, a dead bug fell out. Pooh. Finding nothing else, I screwed the top down and put it back on. Now it seems to have full power again. I hope it stays that way this time. I think that means bugs can get into the pump so be careful.
