I shoot with Nikon D610. I usually shoot in manual mode, metering works fine with this lens, and aperture priority mode seems to work well. Reusing the aperture ring and focus wasn't easy, it's amazing how quickly you get used to this technology. I've only experimented so far. Wide open, the thing is really soft, velvety, stop and everything gets hotter. The far background never comes into focus, which this lens does. I need to take a few more shots to see how I feel about bokeh. These shots are at f1.6, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6 and 8. You can see the sharpness increasing, but you still don't get the depth of field you would get with a regular lens. Shot in aperture priority mode, ISO 100, same focus. I just turned the aperture ring and took the picture.
