If you ride an old bike with derailleurs and rim brakes, you probably need to replace the derailleur and brake cables. When these cables stretch and the housings begin to bind, braking performance degrades and shifting can be erratic. This kit contains many cables and housings that are completely interchangeable on a bike and there are probably very few left. I converted a flat grip hybrid Cannondale to an STI bar and shifter and replaced all the cables. I have enough left over to replace the front brake cable on a Trek T900 tandem that didn't stop well. Good value for money.
