we have XXL instead of XL. I wanted to return it but had to let her wear it when the weather turned bad. It was raining and she wouldn't let it dry. The hood helped keep the ears warm. I'll take something warm anyway, not warm enough for Maine winters. Because it's too big, it slides back and forth on it, the leg straps help with that. It also hangs on her chest. Although I like this type of closure. Much easier to put on and the chest will keep you warm if it's the right size. Hidden clips on each side also feel comfortable. If they had sent me the correct size I would have given 5 stars.
