BEST customer service

I do not often praise; In fact, this is my first product review in over 5 years. But I really had to share my experience with Annke's technical support as her level of help, patience and accommodating was nothing short of phenomenal. After initially emailing them, they evaluated my query and responded to me within 13 hours (including the time zone difference) and said tech support would get back to you within 24 hours. I got through on 2. very good. From then on they were very responsive to help me solve my problem and we corresponded via email several times. In the end, YOU decided email wouldn't solve the problem, so we had a remote desktop sharing session to effectively find a solution. Eventually we lost connection and tech support even called me to make sure we could still go ahead. After about 30 minutes I'm done and happily save their product. As I'm sure many of you have experienced poor customer service at some point in your life, rest assured that this company cares about their product and their customers. If a positive customer service rating isn't enough to convince you to buy, let me rate the product. Summary  Customer service is second to none. Price Excellent. The video quality is excellent. Setup is pretty easy. Some improved/updated instructions would be helpful, but they can be maintained as is. The UI could be improved to improve the experience, but that's fine. I've spent a lot of time reading descriptions and reviews of home video surveillance products and just couldn't find anything that matched the price or the positive reviews. Of course, in some reviews there are some comments that are surprising, but nothing serious. Some people expect too much from Nightvision in general. This system works above its price. Sure, there are $1,000+ systems out there that outperform this product, but that's not what you're buying. This system is a great compromise between buying an overpriced Nest or Ring camera or two that's just selling their name and buying a "high-end" surveillance system that's probably overkill for your home. If you really need such a system, you should probably consider moving to a better site. You get enough product (8 cameras, DVR and remote access) to cover almost any surveillance need. The quick installation guide provided was pretty straightforward. I was able to connect it to my smartphone without any problems. Adding the SADP tool to my networked laptop required a bit more effort. The link provided in the manual was inaccurate/outdated so a quick search on Annke's website found the software and then returned to the manual to complete the setup. Not the end of the world, just be patient. If you can't find it, email them. My "issue" that required contacting tech support was that the remote internet connection was no longer supported even though it was included in the manual. While it was a bit deceptive and annoying, tech support was able to find a workaround and use port forwarding to give me the type of access I was interested in. Most people probably won't need this, but I prefer laptops over phones and gadgets. Tablets so for me it was a deal breaker if there was no permission… also I didn't want to install the SADP tool on all my laptops (again I may be crazy since I have 4 laptops at home but only my shared experience ). Luckily Anne was able to help. Otherwise note that the SADP tool, the web and the DVR interfaces (ie the direct connection between DVR and monitor) are not very user friendly, but with a little practice you will get used to the buttons and the use of the system. Again, not a big deal considering what you're getting for the price. If you have any doubts between this product and a competitor, give Annke a chance knowing that should you need assistance, they will have you covered.
