Packaging was fine. No external damage. I bought these units hoping they would provide sustainable easy use in my solar shed. Plugged it in and turned it on only to be greeted by a loud continuous alarm and no inverter power. All cables checked, no improvement. The batteries were charged to 24.5V but the device did not start. Return the device to Amazon and try again. The device may have been overlooked. The box said it was a 36V model, but there were several markings on the unit itself that indicated it was a 24V model. A 36V unit might have had an under voltage alarm, but I have no plans to build a 36V unit so there is no point in troubleshooting a product that should work from the factory. upset.
