I put the clamp on the hose, filled in the sealant and started to come out of the hose and splatter the bike, myself and the ground. Then I realized it (the pipe clamp) had a second mount for a stronger clamp, so I squeezed it to the tightest possible position and repeated the whole process (spilling). I was able to position myself more cleanly so I didn't spill. Either the clamp isn't strong enough or was it perhaps too cold for the clamp to work on the pipe? I'm not sure, but I'll check again when the weather warms up.
