This works on my 13 year old Labrador Retriever

The male part of the clasp is plastic and the female part is metal. I read the reviews warning me about this but decided to buy anyway. it is strong. We only take him off when we bathe him and we never put the leash on the collar. So I wasn't worried. Also, my dog is 13 years old and his bottom is very arthritic so he's not moving anywhere fast enough that I'm really worried about breaking his collar anyway. It is beautiful and color coordinated with our Wonder Walker tableware.
