I bought this to use with my 27" Apple Cinema Display (Version A1316 Mini DISplayPort 2560x1440) and my 2017 MacBook Pro. Also used it with my Lenovo Yoga with Thunderbolt 3 display out.It worked great for a month, even sound came through the cable so I could use the speakers on my display.Had a problem just after the 30 day return period was up.The display is now showing constant red blue and green spots and keeps going black so it's totally unusable as a display, the speakers are making popping noises and now it's totally unusable Another waste of my money!
