Review on Superior Manufacturing 979S0023BL Saddle Black by Tory Richardson

I use Imprint Cumulus Pro Commercial Grade at work. That's enough to stand for hours in thick shoes with two pairs of gel insoles. But at home my wife won't let me wear shoes; I needed an anti-fatigue mat that would allow me to work 2 hours or more in stockings at my desk. The Black Saddle Trax Grande fits the bill. Notrax says it's one of the four most comfortable mats. Based on the specs in their PDF specs, I'd say this is the most user-friendly of them all. I would give 5 stars except for the initial smell. When I opened the shipping box, I was in the kitchen. The gummy industrial smell (volatile organic compounds, or VOCs) was so frighteningly strong I feared setting off a smoke alarm or, worse, exploding our gas burner. I'm not saying that would have worked either; Just trying to give the impression that you don't normally encounter that industrial smell, I rushed to the back door of the kitchen to let the air out onto our patio. It stayed there with both surfaces exposed until it passed the Odor Free Test. After 1 week I could still smell it from 4 to 6 feet away; 2 weeks later, from a distance of 1 ft. Finally after 26 days it passed the smell test and I took it to my work station in the basement where it met my expectations. Conclusion: This blanket offers incredibly high comfort at an incredibly low price. But if you use it at home, be prepared to air it outside for weeks at a time. I urge Notrax to air these carpets at the factory before shipping; I don't want such an excellent product to be slammed for not being ready to use on day one.
