I have had several Elph series cameras (still working) and this is the latest GEM! The Canon SD3500 is last year's model, but this year and into the future it has demands for what a camera should be. The camera has an F 2.8 lens, a 24mm wide-angle lens and a true wide-angle lens! Only these two points are important. What many people don't realize is that the higher the numbers (specs), the fewer options/results in low light, group shots or scenes. The SD3500IS features a touchscreen and the largest LCD display ever with a resolution of 461,000 pixels, compared to half the resolution of other models. 5x optical zoom with additional digital zoom is good. The Canon SD3500is also has an integrated HDMI port for connection to an HDTV, as well as a USB port for connection to a PC and a video output for DVD recorders. Another impressive element is 30 fps video (others are limited to just 24 fps). ISO is expanded to 6400 in low light. Automatic 80-1600 iso. That's why I think I chose last year's model, that it still has important features for the future and that it did well in the test in all areas. Great camera that fits in your pocket.
