Warning. Low product stability and variety of devices.

This product is probably good if you use multiple Windows computers, a standard mouse and keyboard, and video hardware inputs, otherwise it's a big risk. READ my "WARNING" and "My Results" sections before you buy! This manufacturer should also make a better installation guide and have a video showing the fancy steps for some of the settings; or add three additional buttons with two status indicators. Videos on installing and configuring the product for different situations can attract additional customers. WARNING ON EACH PRODUCT - SHOWS INSTABILITY EARLY IN BEGINNING: Try not to use tricks to make the product work; especially if you are still getting intermittent problems! Most of the time it only gets worse and not worth your time, especially when you start using your hardware and just want to get something done. Other users of this device are not as experienced; if you want to get rid of them. Check out other reviews to see if they are from very novice users, users who just want to cause harm, or legitimate, more advanced users who have spent hours/days getting the product working. wanna spend your days You never want to be someone who just makes a product work well for a while. and then the product doesn't work for months. My advice - if you understand the settings and are having trouble, GO TO ANOTHER model or product. It's like a shaky new car or a girlfriend/boyfriend. They usually get worse, they make you suffer, and eventually you get rid of them. My Conclusions: With this product, ANY CHECKING of the keyboard or mouse from the main USB port will cause problems no matter what other tricks you try. I was able to get the switch to work in Windows 10 Professional with 4K video on a second Jetson Nano (Linux/Ubuntu OS type very similar to Raspberry Pi) with 4K video but it caused hardware instability and I had to reset all settings . at other times. Video quality was very similar but with very very little resolution, color, blur or little difference; most people won't notice. A couple of times the screen would dim until the switch and computer cycled off and on. When I swapped out a standard USB mouse and keyboard for a wired Logitech USB mechanical keyboard and mouse (gaming hardware that supports computer software customization), it became very unstable. They were still usable, but the system had to be restarted or reinstalled at various times. I also have other cheap standard USB keyboards and mice that I've tried. One of the wired USB keyboards lost its zero until you cycled the KVM switch and restarted the computer; very bad if you need null for password/key; This was done with a keyboard plugged into the keyboard's USB port or into a shared KVM USB switch. If the computer was idle and the screen turned off, I would have to switch to another computer and back again to see it again; often worked, but sometimes not. When I REMOVED the KMN switch and plugged all the hardware directly into a Windows computer or Jetson Nano, they worked fine every time. KVM has also caused my Windows computer to boot much longer most of the time. I suspect he was trying to download drivers for a KVM switch or possibly a mechanical keyboard; It's very annoying when I have a computer with an M2 drive that usually boots up in just a few seconds.

Pros
  • Four additional switching options: Switching with hotkeys (NumLock + NumLock + 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 + Enter or Ctrl+Ctrl+1 / 2 / 3 / 4+Enter or ScrollLock + ScrollLock+1 / 2 / 3 / 4 + Enter ), mouse toggle (click mouse wheel 2 times + left button/right button), manual button toggle, wired button toggle.
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance
