Review on SUNPAK 620 080 Sunpak Tripod by Stephanie Armijo

Revainrating 4 out of 5

so far so good for ease of use

About MEI I use Nikon D3200 and use 400mm zoom with this unit. I consider myself semi-professional (I'm selling my work to complete my family, but I'm not well known (yet ;-))) I photograph nature and wildlife. I've been using a tripod for about a month. It supports the weight of my camera and a 400mm zoom lens (very heavy). Although I would not trust him a tele or more. I also use it "loosely" so I can move it while following the object. It seems to be of average quality for a tripod in its price range. All connections and adjustments are made of plastic. The handle and adjustments can be tightened to remain steady, or you can loosen them in just the right place to allow portability. (When I'm photographing wild animals it helps because they don't know the concept of holding a pose :-/) a bit disappointed because this model doesn't have the monopod function that sunpak includes some other models but --- it does That doesn't mean you can't just fold the legs in - works just as well, but with more volume. very light - I'm a 5'2" female and the camera with lens weighs more than this tripod. Case - not included. It also doesn't fit in the side tripod mount of my camera bags - will have to make or buy a bag with a travel shoulder strap. The Head of my devices is not perfectly level when tilting, but this is easily compensated for to rotate camber or leg length By Price (less than $50) This is a pretty good tripod Recommended for - SIMPLE AND NECESSARY USE For BEGINNERS , SEMI-PROFESSIONAL or REGULAR users. Let's see how it performs over time. (much better than the polaroid I bought before that came straight out of the box)

Pros
  • Second circular level on critical tripod collar for precise alignment
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
